Meet Grant & Kellyn
Grant, Kellyn, and their five children live on a 40 acre farm in Southwest Missouri where they milk Jersey cows, raise grassfed and finished beef, and grow flowers and produce for their local community.
Originally from the desert of North Phoenix, Grant studied and graduated with a degree in Philosophy & Religious Studies at Arizona State University. After graduation, he began his teaching career with Great Hearts Academies. He has taught every grade from 3-12th and every subject. He has also served as Master Teacher, Network Faculty Trainer, Head of Curriculum, and Headmaster. His passion lies in literature and the liberal arts tradition. He can also be found locally leading swordsmanship and archery workshops as Sir Godrick with Bardic Inspiration.
Kellyn also shares a deep passion for philosophy, the humanities, and the liberal arts. When their eldest turned five, their homeschooling journey led them to Charlotte Mason, the philosophy and methodology that has guided their home school and family culture ever since.
Kellyn can be found writing on her personal Substack as well as for Wild + Free, a popular homeschooling publication.
Locally, she leads the Tablefolk Community for mothers, helps run a local nature school, is co-founder of the Cultivate Women's Homestead Retreat, hosts events and workshops, and helps run their 40 acre farm.
